Friday Bishopthorpe classes – now to be held in Bilbrough
Unfortunately we are unable to use the Village Hall in Bishopthorpe for our Friday morning dance classes from the 1st of December as they need to use our room for their annual pantomime so we are moving the classes to the Village Hall at Bilbrough.
Classes in the New Year at Bilbrough
We are also planning on keeping the Friday morning classes at Bilbrough in the new year too. As the class sizes have grown we feel that the size of the hall at Bilbrough is more appropriate and there is also room for accompanying adults to use the kitchen area to wait (drinks are available).
However, we will still be using the Village Hall at Bishopthorpe from January but classes will now be on a Monday morning (timetable to be confirmed).
Parents and Carers
As the classes are now full we feel that there is too much of a distraction in the classroom with the adults there too, so we are kindly asking that when we move to Bilbrough in December, adults don’t sit in the classroom with us, unless you are with a Wigglebum in which case you are still needed to be involved with the class.
We understand that for some children this will be an unwelcome change, but it doesn’t work if some parents stay and watch and others do not, we hope that we have given you enough time to let the children adjust and that doing it when moving to the new venue will help, we propose this continues in the new year at both venues.
Watching week
As a dance school we always run a ‘Watching Week’ at the end of term which we invite parents/guardians/siblings e.t.c to come and watch what we’ve been up to. So you will get a change to see watch them again very soon.
If you have any major concerns please let us know. As for the changes in venue and new classes in 2018 we will contact you again soon once we have all the details for the Monday classes at Bishopthorpe we can discuss any class changes then.
