Just a few bits to share with you as we head towards the end of yet another busy but fantastic term. We have started our exciting new classes at Bishopthorpe and have added more Adult classes to our timetable as well as a lot of hard work going on with students taking their exams – We are super proud of how far they have all come, Good Luck to all the children taking exams, we know you will do us and yourselves proud.
Invoices
These have been sent please look out for them, if you haven’t received yours please let us know, payment is due on or before the first lesson back.
Watching week
This terms watching week starts w/c 19th March, please come and join us. For those of you with students taking their Ballet exams this term, we are mixing it up a little (as you would have seen the exam practice and know just what they are up to in class) so we are having a ‘Bring your Grown Up to Dance Day’ and are inviting parents to join in with the class! Don’t worry if you really don’t want to dance it’s optional, but it should be lots of fun – the kids are really excited about it.
Summer Term Dates
Easter term last classes on:
Saturday 24th March (classes are on this day)
We know that some of you have different Easter holidays this year, apologies if this affects you but we had to go with one set of dates.
Summer term:
Monday 9th April to Saturday 14th July (classes on both of these days)
Half term is 26th May to 5th June (No lessons on these days)
*There will be no Saturday classes on 14th April due to exams
No Classes on Monday 7th May due to bank holiday
Presentation Event / End of School Party!
Saturday 14th July at Bishopthorpe Village Hall 5-7pm.
This year we would like to end the summer term on a high so we are holding a Presentation event where we can show you and the rest of the school (who don’t get to see the other classes) some of the dances the children have been working on. This will be followed by a disco/party! This event is open to the whole family (siblings are welcome to stay for the disco too).
Tickets will go on sale shortly after the Easter break (ticket sales will cover the costs of hiring the hall, any profits made will go towards the next show). More details to follow but for now please keep Saturday 14th July free.
New Discount Plan
When you take 3 or more Jazzy J’s dance classes with us per-household you receive a discount off your terms invoice, but we are extending these discounts for households who take even more Jazzy J’s classes (please note this doesn’t include classes that are not invoiced per term).
3+ Classes = 10% discount
6+ Classes = 15% discount
9+ Classes = 20% discount
Exams for Summer term booked
All students taking exams this term have now been informed and will be receiving more information directly shortly. If you have any questions or concerns about the exams please see your teacher
Pantomime
We have already reserved 100 tickets for this years Panto Cinderella at the Grand Opera House (oh no you haven’t, Oh yes we have!). We will be selling these after Summer, but if you would like to join us keep the date free – Sun 23 Dec 2018 at 2pm
2019 Show Booked
Jazzy J’s is proud to present ‘Alice in London Land’ coming to the Riley Smith Hall 10-12th May 2019! It might seem a long time away but we are already excited and just couldn’t keep the news to ourselves any longer…
